Sauna enthusiasts often claim that wood-heated saunas offer the ultimate experience. Test this theory by entering an authentic sauna, gently floating above a tranquil lake, and immerse yourself in the inviting heat. Your sauna host will guide you through the details, ensuring a fulfilling adventure, even if it's your first experience with a Finnish sauna. Toss water onto the rocks, relishing the “löyly,” or steam, released by the stove. You decide how hot it's going to be, and for a refreshing cool-down, take a dip in the adjacent lake. Please note

Feel free to enter the sauna either nude or with a towel; please refrain from wearing swimsuits inside.

The temperature of the sauna depends on the amount of water thrown onto the stove. For a milder experience, children can opt for the lower bench where it's cooler.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:
- Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:
- For sauna slots at 10:00, 11:30, 13:30 and 14:45, you can book the Apukka Shuttle Bus transfer.
- The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center (Korkalonkatu 36, Rovaniemi) and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
- Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
- You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
- Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
- The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
- If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:
- You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
- Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
- Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
