2. From December to the end of January, Rovaniemi experiences a very high level of tourist traffic, which is why we often have to form exceptionally large groups for this activity. For a more private experience, we recommend that you book the Northern Lights Photography Tour - Small Group instead.

Follow our professional photographer, who will setting up the camera and taking pictures for you with their own high-quality cameras. You may also bring your camera with you and the photographer will show you the necessary tricks to capture the auroras if needed. 

Once inside the magical forest, away from the light pollution of the city (travel distance from 20 km up to maximum 100 km). Sit around the campfire and enjoy a traditional reindeer sausage while your guide will explain why the Northern Lights occur as well as about traditional legends from the Sami and Lappish cultures. 

After the tour, The photographer will share the photos of the Northern Lights in a single folder, accessible to anyone who participated in the tour and has the link. If you prefer a private link to access your photos, please inform us to book your private tour!

  • Northern Lights sightings cannot be guaranteed due to they are subject to weather conditions and the solar activity
  • At least 2 people are required for this tour to take place on weekdays and Saturdays
  • At least 4 people are required for this tour to take place on Sundays and public holidays
  • Children under 12 year old must be accompanied by adults paying the full price
  • Please be ready and wait in your hotel lobby 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time
  • Infant under 2 is complimentary
  • If our cameras don't capture Northern Lights in your tour, you will be able to join the same tour again (depending on availability) within 1 week with only half price of this tour
