Helsinki Winter Fatbike
Helsinki is full of nature and a great way to explore it is by riding a Fatbike. The bikes are easy to ride and fun is guaranteed. Join us on an unforgettable bike tour in Helsinki!
Coastal Helsinki is full of great trails for beginners as well as more advanced riders. Pine trees, rocky shores and sandy beaches are the characteristics of Eastern Helsinki, but the local marine nature offers a lot more to experience.
On this bike tour we ride on dirt roads and small tracks through forests and along the coast of the Gulf of Finland. The bikes work well in the winter, so it is not dependent on the weather. Snowy and icy conditions make the ride a bit more demanding, but just as fun.
We start the bike tour at Vuosaari paddling center and gear up with the right size bikes. After a quick introduction your guide leads the group to nearby trails and makes sure that everyone is comfortable with their bike settings. After riding dirt roads for a while we proceed to smaller trails and paths. Pace is kept easy and comfortable the whole time and we’ll have a break by the Baltic sea with views over the archipelago. Transfer back to city center is waiting after the bike tour.
The bikes are 18-speed and have a hand brake. For this tour we recommend previous biking experience and an adventurous spirit!
