Important information

We provide a warm sleeping bag, but please make sure to have warm winter clothing to yourself. We highly recommend merino wool underlayer, fleece or wool mid-layer, woolen socks, a warm hat, warm gloves, and a scarf or neckwarmer. It's always minus degrees (Celcius) inside the snow igloo. Headlight and flashlight is also a food idea to take with you. 

There are no grocery stores or restaurants at Lucky Ranch Snow Igloos (unless you have booked dinner in advance), please do the possible food shopping in advance from Pyhä village center.

Attention

You can book a snow igloo night online 24 hours before the start time (until 20.00 the night before). If you like to book later than 24 hours before the start time, please do not hesitate to call us Antti: +358 40 754 0683, Anu +358 50 355 0744.

If you have a different arrival time than 20.00, please write further information to us at the online booking process. If you do not know your arrival time yet, no problem, we will get in touch nearer your arrival.

The check-in time starts from 20.00 unless you have booked extra services: 

• A return transfer from Pyhä ski resort and Luosto ski resort 
• Dinner at Lucky Ranch saloon: Home-cooked Lappish dinner sourced locally.  
• Aurora Adventure: A guided Northern lights tour to a frozen lake Pyhäjärvi with a local guide, stories about the Northern lights while enjoying cozily by the open fire in a wooden hut. During the tour, you will also meet the animals of the ranch.  

Lucky Ranch is located near Pyhä-Luosto National park at the lake Pyhäjärvi, only 10 minutes drive from the year-round activity resort and ski resort Pyhätunturi. You reach us by car, or when booking a tour with us, you can book pick up (return transfer) either from Pyhätunturi or Luosto. 

The nearest airport is in Rovaniemi, approximately 1,5 – 2 hours' drive to Pyhätunturi, and the nearest railway station is in Kemijärvi from where there is a bus connection to Pyhätunturi. (Please always check the public timetable in advance. We are also glad to help you with planning your trip to us!) 

Free wifi is available at Lucky Ranch, and the Northern lights alarm system is available in Pyhä area. Lucky Ranch provides a variety of winter activities, please contact us in advance for further information.  

Information and instructions for an igloo overnight at Lucky Ranch Snow Igloos:

• If you arrive by your transport (check-in time starts from 20.00). You will recognize the igloo base camp of red-colored Lucky Ranch sign, on the right side of a road. Base camp is the building located closest to the lake. The door is open. Please step inside and make yourself feel comfortable :) 
• Check-out time is 11.00 at the latest
• There is a warm area (base camp) just a short distance away, anyone with cold feet or other reasons you can sleep in one of the beds inside (there is not a toilet or a shower inside an igloo, a bathroom and shower are available in a basecamp).
• There are no grocery stores or restaurants at Lucky Ranch Snow Igloos (unless you have booked dinner in advance). Lucky Ranch Snow Igloos is situated 10 km (10 min drive) from Pyhä Ski Resort, where are a grocery store and several restaurants. In case you like to take something to eat with you, please do shopping in Pyhä village. There is a small kitchen available for the guests inside the base camp (microwave, fridge, coffee machine).
